In 1958, Heuer launched the Monte Carlo dashboard stopwatch as the successor to the Autavia stopwatch. In place of the Autavia’s 12-hour counter, it featured a jumping 12-hour disk, which was visible through a window in the lower part of the dial.

Initially, a caliber A. Schild 1666 was used; from 1967, a caliber Valjoux 7714.
