SuperLuminova C9

Color: blue/green in light, green in the dark

Super-LumiNova pigments are completely free of radioactive additives and are pure phosphorescent luminous materials based on alkaline earth aluminate.

They can be charged as often as you like and release the stored light again in the dark.

Some useful information from the manufacturer:

The human eye has the highest sensitivity to the green afterglow,

i.e. when you come directly from daylight into a dark room (photopic vision).

As soon as the eye has adapted to the darkness, however, it switches to scotopic vision.

The result is a higher sensitivity to light with reduced color perception.

The consequence of this behavior is an optimal
coating in GL for short-term and BL for long-term
readability.

In such situations, the blue afterglow is more visible to the human eye.

A60 is for the following applications:
Hands (general use)
Dots on dials (general use)
Easy application

Technical properties of A60:
Medium drying
Medium viscosity
Medium solids (30%)

Drying: 4-5 h at RT
60 min. at 60 °C and 45 min. at 80 °C

The recommended mixing ratio:

for hands: [pigment]1:1[binder] – good for easy application

for indexes on dials: [pigment]1.5:1[binder] – gives a paste and the brightest result

Please do not use A61 thinner at the beginning, but only

when the mixture starts to dry out. (A60: 10 / A61: 1)
