Swiss Super-LumiNova Dark Orange Luminous Powder for Hands

Swiss Super-LumiNova pigment in dark orange for watch hands and dials. Non-radioactive luminous powder, rechargeable with sunlight or artificial light.

Color: dark orange in light, orange in the dark

Super-LumiNova pigments are completely free of radioactive additives

and are pure phosphorescent luminous substances based on alkaline earth aluminate.

They can be charged as often as you like and release the stored light again in the dark.

Some useful information from the manufacturer:

The consequence of this behavior is an optimal coating

in GL for short-term and BL for long-term legibility.

The human eye has the highest sensitivity to the green emission,

when coming directly from sunlight into the dark (photopic vision).
After adaptation to darkness, the human eye changes to scotopic vision

with higher sensitivity but no color perception.

In such situations, the blue emission is better visible to the human eye.

A60 is for the following applications:
Hands (general use)
Dots on dials (general use)
Easy application

Technical properties of A60:
Medium drying
Medium viscosity
Medium solids (30%)

Drying: 4-5 h at room temperature
60 min. at 60 °C and 45 min. at 80 °C

The recommended mixing ratio:

for hands: 1:1 pigment and binder is good for easy application

for dials: to get a paste instead and the brightest result, try 1.5:1 pigment and binder

Please do not use A61 thinner at the beginning but only when the mixture starts to dry. (A60: 10 / A61: 1)
