Two BGW9 grades are available:

• BGW9 Standard Grade and
• BGW9 Grade A (what you will receive)

BGW9 Grade A shows an increase in afterglow performance of over 52% after 10 hours in the dark compared to BGW9 Standard Grade

Super-LumiNova pigments are completely free of radioactive additives and are pure phosphorescent pigments based on alkaline earth aluminate.

They can be charged any number of times and release the stored light again in the dark.

Some useful information from the manufacturer:

The consequence of this behavior is an optimal application of GL for short-term and BL for long-term legibility.

The human eye has the highest sensitivity to the green emission when coming directly from sunlight into the dark (photopic vision). After adaptation to darkness, the human eye changes to scotopic vision with higher sensitivity but no color perception. In such situations, the blue emission is better visible to the human eye.

Most durable Super-LumiNova (the brightest Super-LumiNova is C3 X1)

A 1:1 ratio of pigment and binder is good for easy application. For a paste and the brightest result, try 1.5:1 pigment to binder.

The binder (clear varnish) A60 and thinner A61 recommended by the manufacturer are also available; if interested, please see our other listings.
